Evergreen Valley College

3035 Cleveland Ave, Santa Rosa, CA

Evergreen Valley College, located in San Jose, California, was established in 1975. Planning for the school began in 1964 due to the establishment of the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District. Initial enrollment for the school was approximately 3,000 students, a number which has grown to 12,000 in the present day. The school has received funding to expand its facilities over the years, and continues to do so with recent bond measures. The most recent addition was the Center for the Arts, which was opened in 2009.Evergreen Valley College hosts students from over 70 countries, and takes pride in the fact that it is one of the most diverse schools in the California Community College System. The goal of the school is to produce academically successful students who aim to be civically responsible global citizens.

Additionally, Evergreen Valley College has agreements in place with certain four year institutions that guarantee transfer if certain prerequisites and academic standards are met. Other programs provide vocational or technical training, providing the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce at the entry level for their chosen field.
