Lake Tahoe Community College, located in South Lake Tahoe, California, was founded in 1975 but lacked a campus, instead utilizing a closed motel as an interim site. The school currently enrolls nearly 3000 students annually, and maintains a modern campus to ensure students receive the best education possible. The school has been steadily adding programs and services over the years and constructing facilities that ensure such programs may be properly taught.

Academics
Lake Tahoe Community College offers a number of programs that allow students to pursue transfer or career training opportunities. Transfer programs allow students to complete the first two years of a four year education, followed by transferring to a four year college or university to complete the final two years and earn a bachelor's degree.
