About
The Cleveland Institute of Music, located in Cleveland, Ohio, was founded in 1920 through investments by individuals in the area to establish a private music conservatory in the city. The school has provided musical education for over 90 years, and has since its inception developed close ties with the Cleveland Philharmonic, with nearly half the members having connections with the institute. The school serves approximately 400 students a year at facilities that were recently renovated and upgraded in order to modernize its offerings. The school performs concerts throughout the year which are open to residents of the city and are mostly free of charge.
Academics
The Cleveland Institute of Music offers programs in a variety of musical fields. Students will choose their field of study and be exposed to the various instruments that occupy that field.
