Platt Technical High School, located at 600 Orange Avenue in Milford, Connecticut, offers a variety of vocational technical programs for high school level and adult learners. The school provides training that leads to careers in such fields as architecture, electronics, automotive collision repair, electro-mechanical work, automotive technology, hairdressing, HVAC, carpentry, computer-aided drafting, IT, culinary arts, manufacturing, electrical work, and plumbing and heating. Medical assisting is available for adult learners as well.

The medical assistant program offers a full-time curriculum that lasts over a 10-month period. Classes are held during the business week, Monday through Friday. Students in the program receive training that helps them to develop their laboratory and clinical skill set as well as administrative ability. In addition, externships are held at area doctor’s offices as well as other health care facilities. Therefore, students gain the practical experience they need once they graduate.
