Horrible school and online program. The courses are test based. No discussions in 75% or more of the courses I have been in. No instructor help. Most instructors are unresponsive in the Moodle system. It is completely useless. I wish I didn't spend two semesters here because I'd switch colleges ASAP. My adviser Terry is rude he never calls me by the correct name and talks down to me. I feel like I cannot talk to him ever. The financial aid office lost my FAFSA so I had to refile it twice. They are disorganized and a complete wreck since the NSU connect system was implemented. The online bookstore is bad too. You order and if you get the wrong book after 3-5 weeks of waiting for it they try to screw you out of a refund. They charged me for courses I dropped in the summer due to the lost FAFSA before the drop date because of an error in their NSUconnect system that had just went up. Worse college in history. Don't be tempted by the low price tuition everything else is a nightmare. I am for the record a 4.0 GPA student. I get treated like complete dirt and with disrespect.

My name, Marv Ostberg. I was a sociology instructor there in school year 1965-66, also teaching summer school there in 1966. It was an interesting time as the school began a peaceful integration that very school year. Was proud to be there and enjoyed the gracious community and the students alike. Wish I had stayed on and gotten my PHD at LSU. Would love to communicate with anyone remembering me or those times. I went from Natchitoches to Oregon for 31 years and have lived now in New Jersey for 12 years. Rate Northwestern State as a 4
