Students who are interested in LGBT studies, Studies of Women, Gender and Sexuality is one of the undergraduate degree programs being offered in Harvard University. This is designed for students to have deeper understanding in the complexities of sexuality, social norms, and how it affects the society, culture, and even politics. Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies offers course programs designed for students who are interested in exploring and getting deeper understanding about gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, and other inequalities the society have faced in the past and present days. In this program, students can take LGBT studies as a minor course – An interdisciplinary study about the historical, social, personal, cultural, and political aspects of LGBT life. The program aims to provide students a comprehensive understanding about genders and sexuality, to acknowledge and see through the queer issues in the national and international conditions. Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides analysis on various aspects, such as gender, race, class, and sexuality. This programs come in different options for students’ preference, they may pursue it as an undergraduate major or minor, and graduate certificate in Advanced Feminist Studies. Women’s and Gender Studies is offered in Muhlenberg College as a minor course program that students who are interested in this field of study may take, and explore gender structure, identity, femininity and masculinity, inequity, and more. The program consists of six-course minor that will help the students dive in and gain in-depth knowledge and understanding about gender, sexual identification, ethnicity, class and nationality with subjective viewpoint. Various aspects will be covered in this program, such as, history, literary studies, biology, psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, communication and media studies, philosophy, and religion – everything that are related and have an influence on the field of study. LGBT studies is one of the degree programs available in Hobart William Smith Colleges – the Critical Sexuality and Queer Studies enables students to explore, analyze, and take a closer look about the cultural, and historical conception of sex, sexuality and gender in different cultural contexts. There are several courses that will be covered in this program, these courses will give students extensive knowledge about key concepts, events, and occurrences in the history of CSQS (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) and Topics such as, relationships between gender, sex, and sexuality, politics, social norms and movement in of LGB folks in the U.S. and major challenges that the LGBT community encounters. The program will give vast career opportunities, as this field of study is relevant to other varied fields, may it be in business, counseling, law, education, healthcare, social work and more – upon completion of the program, the LGBTQ Studies Certificate can be correlative with a major or just be a sole credential, as post-baccalaureate.

Mills College is a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1852, originally as a women’s college but later on became a co-ed institution and offered various bachelor’s-to-master’s BA/MBA accelerated degree programs.
