Brownson Technical School
13800 Biola Ave, La Mirada, CA
Successful graduates of the Brownson Technical School HVACR program enter the industry as well-rounded professionals, skilled in all areas of the profession, including:
- Diagnose Service
- Install and Repair Heating
- Ventilation
- Air Conditioning Equipment, including systems utilizing direct digital control (DDC)
DDC utilizes digital controllers for regulation and monitoring temperature, humidity, energy management, maintenance and repair of small to large systems. This is the fastest growing segment of the HVAC/R industry. Work in this field is year around and may require indoor as well as outdoor work.
At Brownson, we believe that the best way to become a confident HVAC-R Technician is through hands-on learning using real industry equipment. Our students learn by doing. Time will be spent in the classroom due to the highly technical nature of the work, but at Brownson students spend as much time as necessary in the hands-on part of the training.
As a student at Brownson Tech, you learn directly in our working shop. Our 20,000 square foot facility isn't always as tidy as a traditional school – but our students aren't sitting in orderly desks, they're up working on the real equipment they'll see out on the job.
Take a look at some of the areas covered in this program:
