Herzing University is a privately owned career institution that operates twelve locations in eight states. The school was founded in 1965 as a computer programming school in Milwaukee, after which it quickly expanded through the acquisition of other schools. The school has received several name changes, having started as Herzing Institute, then Herzing College, and eventually Herzing University to better reflect the programs and degree levels offered. The school also offers online education as part of its evolving educational offerings.
