The Institute of Production and Recording, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was founded in 2002 by a large number of industry professionals that came together to provide the next generation of professionals a quality education in the field. The school is a member of the Globe Education Network, a conglomeration of schools that utilize the same resources and allow for the use of credits earned at one school to be used by another, though each school awards degrees independently of one another. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
