Computer Networking Degree

Lincoln Technical Institute offers a variety of programs in a diverse number of high demand fields. Lincoln Technical Institute is part of the Lincoln Group of Schools, and has 23 campuses throughout 7 states: Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. The goal of the institute is to provide quality education to prepare normal individuals as skilled labor. Lincoln Technical Institute is known for providing information and assistance in state and national licensing and certification.  Campuses in various states conform to changes in state licensing.

The Edison, New Jersey campus provides students with industry experienced instructors, modern facilities with computer learning centers, day and evening classes for flexible scheduling, a free van to and from the Metropark train station as well a simulated real-world doctor's office classroom.

Academics

Lincoln Technical Institute provides career and vocational training in a large number of professional fields. Students attending Lincoln Technical Institute will choose a program that suits their needs, and depending on the complexity of the area of study will have varying lengths of study. Once a program is completed, students will be qualified to take entry level positions in their respective field. Programs are broken down into six areas: automotive, health sciences, business and IT, skilled trade, spa and cosmetology, and culinary arts. Not all campuses offer the same programs, with smaller campuses focused on one or two of the six areas.

The Edison, New Jersey campus is small, offering programs primarily in allied health fields. Students choosing to enroll at the Edison campus will be able to pursue one of four programs taught by experienced faculty providing personal and hands on career training.

As mentioned above, assistance in licensing and certification is available, and is often integrated into the program. Additionally, Lincoln Technical Institute offers job placement services to graduates. Each campus has a career services department dedicated to assisting students find work opportunities locally. The career services department also helps outline one's career plans upon entry to the school, answering questions and providing guidance to interested students.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Students interested in enrolling at the Lincoln Technical Institute must have a high school diploma or GED. If the student meets this requirement he or she may apply online for additional information, at which point an admissions officer will contact the student to begin the application and admissions process. Through interview and review, the admissions officer will assist the student in determining which program is right for him or her. Once completed, the application will be reviewed and the student notified if they were admitted.

Financial aid is available to eligible students. To determine eligibility students should contact a financial aid representative, who will assist in the application process, as well as research and study the information available at the school's website. Financing one's tuition is also possible, and may be done in conjunction with financial aid awards.

Description

Description

Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
