Southern Technical College, located in Sanford, Florida, was founded in 2001 as Southern Technical Institute with mission to provide individuals in the region a viable option for professional training in health sciences and electronics technology. The school is privately owned and operated and accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and School. The school operates a total of Campuses in Florida, each offering individuals the opportunity for career training and growth.

Academics
Southern Technical College offers students a small number of specialized programs, allowing students choose the one that best fulfills the student's needs. Programs provide a traditional education combined with practical hands on experience in order to allow students to develop the skills necessary for professional employment. Entry into the workforce is facilitated through job placement assistance provided by the school. Programs will have various lengths based on complexity and whether or not a certificate or degree is conferred, and will take up to two years to complete. Individuals who have completed a program will be eligible for entry level positions in their field of study.
