Bladen Community College is a constituent institution of the North Carolina Community College System located on NC Highway 41 West at the heart of southeastern North Carolina. It started as Bladen Technical Institute in 1967.
To accommodate the educational and cultural needs of the Bladen community and nearby areas, BCC has adopted an open door policy. Certificate, diploma and degree programs with 15 curriculum programs are presently offered in this college.
BCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It serves as an essential educational resource for students who wish to earn high school diploma and prepare for professional career and higher education.
This college is highly regarded for its distance education courses that have brought significant growth in the institution for the past four years. These online courses are presented in different modes such as teleweb, interactive television, online, hybrid, web-assisted and cooperative.
