Gaston College is one of the largest community colleges in the state and it is part of the North Carolina Community College System. This institution has three campuses - Dallas, Lincoln and Kimbrell (east) and Textile Technology Center.
This college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The main campus located at 201 Highway 321 South Dallas, NC 28034-1499 is comprised of twelve major buildings, large parking area and auditorium occupying an approximately 450,868 square feet land area.
Defined by quality and innovation, Gaston College offers academic programs and services designed to provide real-life educational experience in line with the current industry needs. Students are given the opportunity to finish Diploma, Certificate and two-year Associate degree courses with more than 100 programs of study to choose from.
Five divisions encompass the different programs of this college: Arts & Sciences; Business & Information Technology; Health and Human Services; Engineering & Industrial Technology; and Economic and Workforce Development.
Apart from the curriculum courses, continuing education programs are also offered to promote lifelong learning, enhance professional competence and develop new skills for the residents of the community it serves. To meet the diverse needs of the students, several online programs are offered with flexibility. Students can choose from either internet or hybrid courses, whichever is more convenient for them.
