River Valley Community College, located in Claremont, New Hampshire, was founded to provide residents of its service area a quality education in a variety of fields. The school serves the local community and due to its size and enrollment, is able to provide hands on service and education for its students. Academics
River Valley Community College offers 35 programs of study that prepare student for transfer to a four year institution or a career in a sector of the workforce. Academic transfer is achieved through the completion of general education and lower division courses relating to one's desired major, taken over the course of two years. Once completed students will apply to their desired school to complete their bachelor's degree, transferring all earned credits. Career programs train students in the skills and abilities necessary to enter the workforce as professionals, using theory and practice to develop methods and techniques used in that field. Graduates of such programs will earn a certificate or degree which demonstrates competency and allows for employment at the entry level.
