About
Aiken Technical College, located in Graniteville, South Carolina, was founded in 1972 and is one of the 16 schools that comprise the South Carolina Technical College System. The school originally known as Aiken Technical Education Center and operated out of temporary facilities and served 177 students, moving to a permanent campus in 1973. Today the school has expanded its offerings to serve as a comprehensive college serving nearly 3,500 credit and 10,000 non-credit students annually.
Academics
Aiken Technical College offers a variety of programs that allow students to pursue career or transfer opportunities as needed. Career training programs allow students to pursue an education in a high demand field or industry that will impart skills and abilities necessary for entry into the workforce after completion of a one to two year program and earning a certificate or associate degree. Academic transfer programs allow students to complete a curriculum that mirrors the first two years of a four year education followed by transfer to a college or university to complete the final two years and earn a bachelor's degree.

ATC is an open enrollment institution that allows any individual to enroll if they meet the minimum requirements, complete and application and pay the associated fees.
