About
Atlantic Cape Community College, located in Mays Landing, New Jersey, was founded 1964 to serve residents of Atlantic County and Cape May County, having expanded its services to Cape May County in 1999 and adding the campus in 2005. The school serves over 6000 students a year through its two campuses, the second of which is located in Cape May Court House. The school was the second such community college to be founded in the state. The school is dedicated to providing residents with a quality education, providing programs, services and facilities that are modern and relevant to the community.

Academics
Atlantic Cape Community College provides over forty career training and academic transfer programs. These programs are designed to meet the needs of the community and assist students in achieving their goals. Career training and vocational programs provide the skills and training necessary to perform as professionals in a given technical or vocational field. Students will develop the required abilities through classroom and practical courses that offer real world experience and understanding of the field. These programs take between one and two years to complete, resulting in either an associate degree or certificate. Students may pursue employment at the entry level after graduation.

Academic transfer programs allow students to complete the lower division and general education courses for a given major over the course of two years at low cost, followed by transfer to a four year institution to complete the final two years of a bachelor's degree. Agreements with public institutions in New Jersey making transfer easier for those who follow curriculum guidelines. Individuals who choose to apply at a private or out of state institution are advised to meet with a counselor to plan the curriculum that best fulfills the transfer requirements of the school or school's desired.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Atlantic Cape Community College is a public two year open enrollment institution. Any student that fulfills the minimum requirements for admission may enroll through the completion and submission of the application for admission. Students are required to provide transcripts and test scores, and will be asked to take a placement exam to ensure they meet minimum general education requirements prior to registration. Students are asked to participate in orientation and meet with a counselor prior to the start of their first semester. Registration takes place prior to the start of each semester, with tuition fees due shortly after registration is completed.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships. Students in need of financial assistance must complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the standard document used by postsecondary institutions to identify a student's financial situation and make judgments regarding need, program eligibility and awards. Due to national regulations students may be asked to provide additional tax information by the school to ensure the accuracy of the FAFSA. Financial aid must be reapplied for prior to the start of each academic year due to changing financial circumstances of  a given student and his or her family each year.
