Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, is a public two year educational institution that became an independent entity in 2005. The school was originally part of Shepherd College and was known as the Community and Technical College of Shepherd, and after separating took on its current name.

BRDTC is dedicated to providing academic and other opportunities and services to residents of its service area.  School administration constantly review academic offerings to ensure they meet and exceed the standards set forth locally, by the state and nationally.

Academics

A comprehensive community and technical college, the school offers over forty program options in order to ensure that a wide variety of possibilities are available for students.  Academic transfer options provide a low cost alternative for individuals seeking four year degrees.  This can be accomplished by first allowing individuals to complete the first two years locally before transferring to a college or university to complete a bachelor's degree.

Career training programs provide education and training in a high demand field or industry in order to prepare individuals seeking long term employment with the skills necessary to obtain employment. Admissions and Financial Aid

Blue Ridge Community and Technical College will admit any individual at least eighteen years of age or having earned a high school education as long as they complete an application and pay all associated fees. Students are asked to provide transcripts and test scores if possible.
