Located at One University Drive Huron, Ohio 44839 Bowling Green State University Firelands primarily serves the residents in Eerie and Huron counties. It is one of the seven constituent colleges of the BGSU system offering certificate, associate degree and bachelor's degree programs under the departments of applied sciences, humanities, and natural and social sciences.
Certificate programs include bookkeeping, business application specialist, management and supervision and small business management. Students who wish to start a professional career or transfer to four-year institutions can choose from 15 associate degrees in 22 areas of study while those who would like to pursue a Bachelor's degree has 9 options.
BGSU Firelands provides students with opportunity to finish initial credits for transfer to four-year institutions specifically in Lorraine County Community College and University of Toledo Health Science Campus. This college is authorized by the North Central Association and its Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care program, Health Information Technology and Nursing programs are certified by appropriate accrediting agencies.
In response to the changing needs of the community and industry, this college offers academic programs, workshops and seminars designed to help students cultivate new skills and enhance professional competence.
BGSU Firelands offers a true campus experience as students are presented with various social, cultural and athletic activities, as well as several organizations and clubs they can participate in. Also found in this campus are cultural and recreational facilities like the Firelands College Theatre and the James H. McBride Arboretum.
