Admissions and Financial Aid

As an open enrollment institution, and individual that wishes to enroll at Broome Community College may do so by meeting the minimum requirements for admission (18 years of age or older or having a high school diploma or equivalent), submitting a completed application and paying all accrued fees. Students should also supply previous transcripts and standardized test scores if available, and should be prepared to take a placement exam prior to registration. A visit with a counselor is also encouraged to discuss personal and academic goals, program enrollment and curriculum.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships. Students in need of financial assistance must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the information from which is used by the school's financial aid department to determine need and aid program eligibility when compiling one's financial aid packet. Financial aid must be reapplied for prior to each academic year.
