Engineering Program

Bunker Hill Community College

Bunker Hill Community College is the largest community college in the state of Massachusetts. The school serves approximately 13,000 students each year through its main campus in Charlestown and its four satellite campuses. BHCC was founded in 1973 and has been serving its community by offering the best education and resources possible. The college focuses on diversity and multi-cultural representation, particularly through its international students which come from over 95 different countries. The school also holds events for the community throughout the year, a calendar for which may be found on the school's website.

Academics

Bunker Hill Community College offers a variety of programs that will prepare students for a career or transfer to a four year institution. Academic programs complete the first two years of a four year education and allow for transfer into a bachelor's program. Career oriented programs, resulting in either a certificate or associate degree, offer training and education in the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the work force immediately after graduation. BHCC offer night, midnight and distance learning courses to help students that require a flexible schedule. The school is dedicated to providing its students with a quality education.

A large portion of enrolled students are professional adults, and the school is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for students of all ages.

Admissions and Financial Aid

BHCC maintains an open enrollment policy that requires students have a GED or high school diploma in order to be eligible for enrollment. When applying, students must provide additional information, including transcripts and standardized test scores (if available) along with the application fee. Students that are residents of Massachusetts must provide documentation for proof of residency in order to receive in state tuition costs.  Financial aid is available in the form of grants, loans and scholarships. Students interested in receiving financial aid should visit the financial aid office as well as the BHCC website's financial aid page in order to begin the application process and determine eligibility. Scholarships may require separate application to the bodies that oversee the scholarship and typically award funds for reasons other than need.

Athletics

Bunker Hill Community College Participate in intercollegiate and intramural sports. Athletic programs offer students the opportunity to compete, providing a competitive yet enjoyable atmosphere. Students participating in athletic programs will develop skills beneficial to their academic and professional life, such as discipline, socializing, teamwork, and maintaining good health.
