The Bay Area is an excellent place to live and study. San Mateo Junior College developed a 25 year master plan and a $5.9 million bond was approved to build the college. This plan lead to Canada College being built in 1968 which was the result of a $12.8 million bond approved by voters in 1964.Cañada College is an affordable option for earning an Associate’s degree and is an excellent stepping stone to attending a four year college in the area. Tuition is $46 per unit for local residents and non-resident tuition is $208 per unit. Cañada College students who earn their AA-T or AS-T degree are guaranteed placement in the California State University system. Transfer students are giving junior standing at a four-year college.
