Central Alabama Community College, located in Alexander City, Alabama, was founded in 1989 and is a public two year institution dedicated providing post secondary education opportunities for residents within its service region. The School is result of several mergers of colleges that were founded through the state's 1963 Act. Number 93 that allowed for the forming multiple community colleges over the next few years. The school serves over 200 students annually through programs, classes and services that are designed to meet the needs of the modern student.
Academics
Students at Central Alabama Community College are able to choose from a variety of programs aimed at meeting community needs either through career training or academic transfer. Career training programs provide an education I a high demand field, allowing students to develop the skills and abilities necessary to perform actions and duties as needed by the chosen profession. Description
Perform any or all of the following functions in the manufacture of electronic semiconductors: load semiconductor material into furnace; saw formed ingots into segments; load individual segment into crystal growing chamber and monitor controls; locate crystal axis in ingot using x-ray equipment and saw ingots into wafers; and clean, polish, and load wafers into series of special purpose furnaces, chemical baths, and equipment used to form circuitry and change conductive properties.
