About
Coffeyville Community College, located in Coffeyville, Kansas, was established in 1923 and is among the first of such schools to be formed in the state. The school has maintained ties with the University of Kansas and other regent schools, developing courses and curriculums in conjunction with those schools. The school became part of the State System of Public Junior Colleges in 1965. The school has gone through several name changes, receiving its current name in 1980. In 2001 the school was merged with Southeast Kansas Area Vocational Technical School, expanding its offerings and service area further.

Academic transfer programs fulfill the first two years of a four year education, allowing students to obtain the credits at low cost followed by transfer to a four year institution, particularly Kansas Regent schools, to earn a bachelor's degree.
