Auto Body Program

The auto body program at College of Southern Nevada prepares students for careers as a custom painter, technician, glass installation technician, welder, metal fabricator, or paint technician. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to repair, reconstruct, and finish automobile bodies, fenders, and external features. Program courses include: structure analysis, damage repair, non-structural analysis, mechanical and electrical components, plastics and adhesives, painting and refinishing techniques, and damage analysis and estimating. College of Southern Nevada

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is the largest public college in the state, offering mostly two-year courses throughout its Charleston, Cheyenne, and Henderson main campuses as well as nine other learning centers in the Las Vegas area. CSN was founded in 1971 as the Clark County Community College, opening its doors to a mere 400 students at the time. There are now over 40,000 students availing of more than 200 degrees and technical programs in the CSN schools of Arts and Letters, Applied Technologies, and the Engelstad School of Health Sciences, among others.

As its contribution to the community, CSN's Division of Workforce and Economic Development offers various training programs for workforce skills enhancement and career development. Since its inception in 2005, about 65,000 students have enrolled in courses for adult literacy, business services, occupational safety, and different technical programs.

High school students of Southern Nevada are accommodated by CSN via the Jumpstart Dual Credit Program. Jumpstart was designed to allow young students to earn early college credits at their respective schools. The CSN High School, on the other hand, provides high school courses for juniors and seniors who wish to attend classes at the CSN campus.

Establishments within CSN include a Fine Arts Gallery, Performing Arts Center, the Desert Garden Center, and the only public planetarium in Southern Nevada. Its Campus Child Care facility provides daycare services for student-parents to aid in their academic pursuits. CSN Henderson houses the Lied Field at Morse Stadium, home to the CSN Coyotes baseball team.
