About

Columbia Gorge Community College, located in The Dalles, Oregon, was founded in 1977 and was originally known as the Wasco Area Education Service District.  The district was renamed to Treaty Oak Education Service District shortly thereafter, and the school operated as such for a decade and a half, after which a vote changed the school's status from service district to community college. Money was procured for the purchase and expansion of a campus, and in 2001 the school added Hood River County to its service area, expanding its role as an education facility, and today serves residents both in Washington State and Oregon living around the mid-Columbia area.

As a two year public community college, Columbia Gorge Community College offers a variety of programs and courses to meet the personal and professional needs of its students. Students may pursue academic transfer by completing the first two years of a four year education locally and at low cost before moving on to a college or university to complete a bachelor's degree. Admissions and Financial Aid
