Medgar Evers College – CUNY (Medgar)

In 1969, Medgar Evers College was established as the senior college of the City University of New York (CUNY). It was named after Medgar Wiley Evers, a civil rights activist known as the man of the Mississippi. MEC boasts for its world class resources and highly qualified professors that allow it constantly respond to the changing global and economic needs. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education while its academic programs are registered by the New York State Department of Education. 

This college offers Certificates, Bachelor's and Associate degree programs in nearly 100 major areas of study under the School of Business, Liberal Arts & Education, and Science, Health & Technology. Evening and weekend classes are available for selected courses in liberal arts, education, social sciences, math, sciences, and business. MEC not only focuses on providing a degree, it also supports students in finding jobs upon completion of a course through a networking framework.
