Delaware Technical and Community College – Terry

Delaware Technical Community College was founded in 1967 by Dr. Paul K. Weatherly. The school is Delaware's community college system, and was formed with the approval of the Delaware General Assembly. The school currently operates four campuses which were added between 1972 and 1974. The school is an open-admission two year institution committed to the success of residents of Delaware. The school is fully accredited by the Commission of Higher Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
The campus in Delaware's capital city of Dover is known as the Terry Campus, named after late Governor Charles L. Terry. The school is located in the northern part of Dover and serves Kent County, a predominantly rural area. The campus also offers full service athletic facilities for interested students.
Academics
Delaware Technical Community College offers a number of programs that provide students with technical and career training or academic advancement. Technical and career training provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce as professionals. Academic programs allow students to complete the first two years of a four year education at low cost, allowing for transfer to a four year institution upon completion. Delaware Tech has agreements in place with over 60 colleges, assisting in the transfer process assuming certain requirements are met.
