Diesel Mechanic Program

The diesel mechanic program at Eastern Iowa Community College District prepares students for careers in heavy equipment maintenance, locomotive maintenance, over-the-road truck maintenance, fleet maintenance, dealership service, and aftermarket parts development. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain diesel engines in vehicles, as well as stationary diesel engines in electrical generators and related equipment. Three community colleges make up the Eastern Iowa Community College District: Clinton Community College in Clinton; Scott Community College in Bettendorf; and Muscatine Community College in Muscatine.
