About
Enterprise State Community College, located in Enterprise, Alabama, was founded in 1965 when it was known as Enterprise-Ozark Community College. The school was reorganized in 2003 by the state, adding the Alabama Aviation Centers located in Ozark and Mobile to the school, resulting in a name change in 2009 to the current. The Alabama Aviation Center is now a unit of Enterprise State Community College. The school is dedicated to providing education and services to its service area, and aims to meet the needs of current and future students through continued review of programs and offerings.
Academics
Enterprise State Community College offers students opportunities for study that may result in career training or academic transfer. Career programs allow students to receive an education that prepares them for employment in the chosen field. Such programs provide skills and training and take between one and two years to complete, resulting in a certificate or degree that demonstrates competency. Admissions and Financial Aid
Any individual that is 18 years of age or older, or has a high school diploma or equivalent may enroll at ESCC by submitting an application and paying all fees. Students must also supply transcripts and test scores if available, and may be required to take a placement exam. Meeting with a counselor is also recommended. Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships and is applied for through the completion and submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the information from which will be used to determine eligibility, need and awards.
