Feather River Community College District, located in Quincy, California, is a public two year institution and was founded in 1968. The school is often is often referred to as Feather River College or FRC. The school is one of the 112 schools that comprise the California Community College system. The school maintains an annual enrollment of 1500 students, and is dedicated to providing them the best educational opportunities possible.
Academics
Feather River College offers students a variety of programs that allow for academic transfer or career training opportunities. Academic transfer programs allow students to pursue a bachelor's degree by first completing the freshman and sophomore years at FRC, followed by applying for transfer to a four year institution to complete their education. Transfer to UC or CSU schools is made easier through agreements in place that guarantee admission if certain academic standards are met. Career training programs allow students to pursue an education in a given field or industry for the purpose of entering the workforce as a qualified professional. Programs take between one and two years to complete and result in a certificate or degree upon completion.
