Nearly a hundred years later, it still stands as a bastion of higher learning on the Kansas landscape. Garden City is known for its accredited nursing program. The school also offers associate degrees according to academic divisions and course certification in various disciplines, including business, cosmetology, and criminal justice. And the school’s continuing education program has adult education classes and community education.
With residence halls and a notable athletics division, GCCC outshines many other public community colleges. Students who live on campus are able to enjoy a total college experience without traveling far from home or paying “the big bucks” the same experience would cost at a larger institution.
