Gateway Community College, located in New Haven, Connecticut, is a public two year post secondary education institution founded in 1992 through the merger of two previously existing institutions, South Central Community College and Greater New Haven State Technical College. Gateway Community College has an annual enrollment of over 11,000 students, with nearly 7000 being credit seeking students.
Academics
Gateway Community College offers a variety of programs that allows students to pursue academic transfer or career training opportunities. Academic transfer is accomplished by completing a curriculum that mirrors the first two years of a four year education, followed by applying to a college or university to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree.
