Nursing Program
The nursing program at Georgia Perimeter College prepares students for careers in hospitals, convalescent centers, clinics, home care, and physician's offices. Georgia Perimeter College

Georgia Perimeter College (GPC) is now Perimeter College at Georgia State University. Perimeter College is a two-year college in Atlanta, Georgia that offers traditional learning on its four campuses and several learning sites, or non-traditional learning via its online classes or hybrid courses.
GSU's Perimeter College also offers half semester classes, study abroad programs, and dual enrollment programs for high school students. There are many transfer programs available for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor's degree.
PC offers 40 associate degree programs, four career or technical degree programs, and nine dual degree programs in affiliation with DeKalb Tech. Part of the University System of Georgia (USG); PC is the system's largest granter of associate degrees and its third largest institution. Perimeter College educates more than one-third of all college transfer students in the State of Georgia.
History
Perimeter College was founded in DeKalb County in association with the DeKalb Board of Education in 1964.
Academics
The academic calendar for GSU's Perimeter College follows the semester format with fall, spring and summer semesters. However, PC also offers full term and half term class schedules, along with other flexible learning schedules.

As a two-year community college, Perimeter's academic and vocational-career units are divided into departments and programs. Academic departments at PC include art, astronomy, biology and sciences, business, engineering, English, mathematics, music, nursing, theatre, and more.
Student Life
There are many student clubs and organizations available for involvement on each of PC's campuses, covering a broad range of interests from academics, to sports, government, culture and the arts. All student groups and activities are organized through the Office of Student Life. The Clarkston Campus offers 36 student clubs and organizations, the Decatur Campus offers 16, the Dunwoody Campus offers 26, and the Newton Campus offers 17.
The Health, Wellness, and Recreation (HWR) Department on each campus offers students facilities, services and activities to help them stay fit and healthy. Other student services on each campus include tutoring, counseling, career advising, technical services, support for students with disabilities, and more.
GSU's Perimeter College also offers an annual Career Day, which provides students with career sessions and seminars that demonstrate how different academic majors can be applied in many different career fields.
Traditions
The school colors for Perimeter College (PC) are maroon and gold. Its mascot is the Jaguar.
Athletics
The Perimeter College "Jaguars" comprises eight athletic teams that compete in intercollegiate sports at the state, regional and national level through the National Junior College Athletic Association. Student-athletes at PC may take classes at any of the six PC campuses in the Atlanta, Georgia region and still participate in their chosen sports.
