About

Grays Harbor College, located in Aberdeen, Washington, was founded in 1930. The school was formed through the efforts of residents in Aberdeen, and operated as a private institution until 1945, when the local school district took control of its operation. The school began construction and expansion with the new financial resources at its disposal, beginning operation in the new buildings in 1958.

GHC has experienced expansion ever since, with new buildings, centers, and resources being added as recently as 2007. In addition to the main campus, the school operates learning center in Ilwaco, North Aberdeen, South Aberdeen, and Raymond.

Academics

Grays Harbor College is a comprehensive community college that offers academic transfer and career training opportunities in order to meet the personal and professional goals of students.. Academic transfer programs allow students to complete the first two years of education locally and at low cost, followed by transfer to a college or university to complete their bachelor's degree.

Career training programs are for individuals seeking long term employment in skill oriented high demand fields or industries. Programs take between one and two years to complete and result in a degree or certificate upon completion.

Individuals interested in enrollment at GHC may do so by completing an application for admission and paying the associated fees. Students are asked to provide transcripts and test scores if available, and to meet with a counselor prior to registration to discuss program enrollment options.
