Grayson College, formerly Grayson County College, is located in Denison, Texas. Founded in the 1960's and serves Grayson County and parts of Fannin County. The school recently received a large bond to update and expand the facilities of the school, the first such bond issued since the school was first established. The school operates an east and west campus, both of which will be upgraded, with plans to move certain services between the two. The school has served the community for over forty years, providing educational and other services and is dedicated to upgrading its offerings to remain relevant and up to date.
Academics
Madisonville Community College offers a variety of programs that result in an associate degree, certificate or diploma. Students will be able to choose a program of study that best suits one's academic or career goals. Academic transfer programs allow students to complete the first two years of a four year education, followed by transfer to a four year college or university to pursue one's bachelor degree. Transfer to a public Texas four year postsecondary institution is made easier through agreements in place with certain schools. Students wishing to transfer to a private or out of state school should meet with a counselor to outline a curriculum that best meet that school's transfer requirements.
Career and technical programs provide students with an education in a given field, providing training, skills, and knowledge necessary to become a professional in that field. Such programs typically take between one and two years to complete, resulting in an associate degree, certificate. Students enrolled in such a program will have a traditional classroom education as well as experience building practical courses used to better prepare students for a real work environment. Admissions and Financial Aid
Students interested in enrollment at Grayson College must meet the minimum open enrollment standards put forth by the school combined with the submission of an application along with transcripts and standardized test scores. Registration takes place shortly prior to the start of each semester with tuition owed shortly thereafter.
