The Hawaii Community College uniquely embraces the concept of traditional Kauhale – a Hawaiian village. With its mission to spread quality education and, at the same time, retaining  the traditions of the island, the Hawaii Community College  aims to promote success to the students by seeking excellence all throughout.

Also known as HawaiiCC, the Hawaii Community College was founded in 1941 and was first named as Hawaii Vocational School and started out teaching to produce highly skilled workforce. It was during 1970 when HawaiiCC started adding college degrees to their programs. Today, HawaiiCC teaches different degrees from different disciplines like agriculture, engineering, business, education, information technology and healthcare. The school also offers technical programs like culinary arts and carpentry to name a few.

The tuition fee rate is charged depending on the credit hours carried by the student. For Hawaiian residents, the tuition fee rate is $106 while non-residents incur more at $304. When it comes to transfer options, students from HawaiiCC can enjoy transferring to local schools without any difficulty as students can take advantage of the Hawaii Transfer Curriculum.
