Hibbing Community College, located in Hibbing, Minnesota, was founded in 1996 through the merger of Hibbing Community College and Range Technical College - Hibbing. The school is a member of the Minnesota State College and Universities System which operates schools that date back to 1916 and are among the first two year post-secondary institutions in the United States. Hibbing Community College (HCC) is a public, two year, open enrollment institution that allows any student to enter completing an application for admission and paying all accrued fees.
