Equine Studies Program
The equine studies program at Highland Community College – Freeport prepares students to care for horses and equipment, and give them the tools needed to train and manage horses and their riders. A fun fact about the city is that it is known as the “Pretzel City” for the pretzel company that was founded shortly after the first settlers came to the region nearly 200 years ago.
