Academics
Individuals attending Kauai Community College will be able to choose from programs that allow for academic transfer or career training. Academic transfer programs allow students to pursue the first two years of a four year education, followed by applying for transfer to four year institutions to continue their education. Any person interested in attending KCC may do so by submitting a completed application, paying all fees, and submitting transcripts and test scores if available. The school's open enrollment policy requires that students be at least eighteen years of age or have a high school diploma. Students may be required to take a placement exam for certain programs. Participation in new student orientation and meeting with a counselor is encouraged. Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships and are awarded based on need as determined by a student's completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
