About
L.E.Fletcher Technical Community College, located in Houma, Louisiana, was founded in 1948, when it was known as the South Louisiana Trade School. As the school grew, so did its offerings, expanding into a full technical college, followed by becoming a branch of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. In 2003 the school separated from the LCTCS, becoming a separate institution and taking its current name.
Academics
L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College offers a number of technical programs aimed at preparing students for a high demand career, particularly those within the school's service area. In addition, transfer opportunities are available through certain courses and curriculums. Career training programs provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce as a professional in their chosen field. Graduates will receive a diploma or certificate upon completion of the program, demonstrating competency and allowing students to find entry level positions immediately after graduation. Students may be asked to provide additional financial information prior to the disbursement of funds to ensure the accuracy of the information provided.
