Lake Region State College, located in Devils Lake, North Dakota, was founded in 1941 as part of the areas public school system. Originally known as Devils Lake Junior College and Business School, the institution changed its name over the years to better reflect its growing role in the community. The current name was given in 1999 after it ceased operation as a branch campus of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. The school is part of the North Dakota University System and is dedicated to providing education and opportunities for residents of its service area.
Academics
Lake Region State College offers programs that allow for academic transfer and programs dedicated to providing career development and training. Academic transfer is accomplished through a program that mirrors the first two years of a four year education and allows the student to apply for transfer to a college or university to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree upon completion.
