Metropolitan Community College – Longview

The Metropolitan Community College in Longview (MCC-Longview) is just one of the five campuses in Metropolitan Community College in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Established in 1969 together with the campuses of Maple Woods and Penn Valley, MCC-Longview is near the scenic Longview Lake and is the first community college to earn the coveted “College of the Year” honors in TIME Magazine Review.
Compared with the other branches of Metropolitan Community College, MCC-Longview specializes in automotive technology, teacher education, engineering, land surveying, GIS and grounds and turf management. Moreover, it is also home to the finest automotive technology programs in the nation.
MCC-Longview provides flexible tuition options to students. The fee is only $92 per semester credit for students living in the same district. However, out-of-district and out-of-state rates are $172 and $226 respectively but the price is still lower compared with state colleges and universities. When it comes to transfer options, the school system holds transfer fairs to students who want to transfer to a four-year university of college. Students from MCC-Longview are welcome to transfer to Baker University, Bellevue University, Avila University and Kansas City University to name a few.
Although the campus is small, MCC-Longview lives up to the mission, vision and goals of the entire Metropolitan Community College System.
