Mid-Plains Community College focus on two important aspects - teaching and learning, and the students and their success as it provides quality education and lifelong learning. MPCC is a comprehensive public community college system with three campuses in McCook, Nebraska and North Platte. The campus at1101 Halligan Drive, North Platte, NE, 69101 is complete with facilities for student housing, athletics, arts and music, and academics. 

This college offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates primarily for the residents West-central and Southwest portion of Nebraska. The programs of MPCC encompass vocational-technical, general academic transfer, developmental and continuing education in the different areas: Building Trades, Business and Technology, Transportation, and Health and Medical Occupation. 

Taught by experienced instructors, Technical programs are designed to educate students on theory and practical experience. Transfer programs provide opportunities for students to continue to a four-year degree at Bellevue University and Chadron State College and other institutions facilitated by established transfer agreements. With the increasing demand for healthcare workers, MPCC has expanded its health programs with the support of area hospitals, clinics, health-care providers and long-term care facilities. Students of these programs are trained in the dental field, direct patient care, healthcare administration and laboratory work. 

To cater to needs of adults who require more flexibility in schedule, MPCC offers online courses which they can access at their own convenience. Adult Education and English as Second Language program are also made available for students who wish to prepare for GED exam, enhance their skills and improve their English language proficiency.
