Aircraft Mechanic Program

The aircraft mechanic program at Mid – South Community College prepares students for careers in aircraft inspections, aircraft maintenance, and avionics. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all aircraft components other than engines, propellers, avionics, and instruments. Program courses include: layout and fabrication of sheet metal and other materials into structural members, parts, and fittings, and replacement of damaged or worn parts such as control cables and hydraulic units. At MSCC, students are exposed to a learning environment that is innovative and dynamic. The institution serves the community of West Memphis, Arkansas and is located close to the metropolitan area. MSCC cares about their students’ economic development as well as their education and future employment success.

With a population of over 2,000 students MSCC is the largest two year community college in the Arkansas Delta region offering technical certificates, associate degree programs, transfer programs and certificate of proficiency programs.
