Missouri State University – West Plains

Missouri State University-West Plains prides itself as the foundation of new beginnings and endless possibilities. It was recognized as one of the top 120 two-year colleges in the nation by the Aspen Institute Community College Excellence Program and was acknowledged as a Military-Friendly School for three consecutive years by the G.I. Jobs magazine. 

In 1963 this institution was established as the West Plains Residence Center and consequently named as West Plains Campus of Southwest Missouri State University to its current designation, MSU-WP. For more than four decades, MSU-WP serves as a vital educational resource for the residents of south-central Ozarks region of Missouri and nearby places.

At present, MSU-WP has three campus locations in West Plains, MO, Mountain Grove, MO and Dalian, China. This institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of College and Secondary Schools.
