The welding program at Mitchell Community College prepares students for careers as welding engineers, manufacturing engineers, application engineers, sales engineers, and project engineer or manager. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Founded in 1852, Mitchell Community College functions as a higher educational resource for the residents of Iredell County and nearby areas. It is located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Piedmont North Carolina.
