Naugatuck Valley Community College located in Waterbury, Connecticut is one of the top public colleges in the system. NVCC is a two year college that offers several associates degrees in a range of disciplines. One honored student is awarded the Ann Margaret-Fabisiak Distinguished Student of the Graduating Class award as opposed to a traditional award for the Valedictorian of the graduating class.  The highlight of the award is that not only does the student need to excel in their studies, but also have high moral character. The campus is larger than most community colleges, sitting on 110 acre of lush Connecticut real estate.
