Business Administration Degree

The business administration program at Nebraska Indian Community College prepares students for careers in education, government, private business and retail. The program focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the functions and processes of a firm or organization. Program courses include: management theory, humor resources management and behavior, accounting and other quantitative methods, purchasing and logistics, organization and production, marketing, and business decision-making. Nebraska Indian Community College (NICC)

1111 Hwy 75, Macy, NE

In an aim to preserve and revitalize the cultures of the Omaha and Santee people and provide access to quality post-secondary education, Nebraska Indian Community College was founded in 1973. It started as an American Indian Satellite Community College and upon being granted an independent status, it was renamed to NICC. 

NICC has three campuses in Macy, Santee, and South Sioux City, Nebraska. The facilities of these campuses are constantly updated, as well as the programs to encourage and motivate the students to learn. For students to qualify for admission they must submit a copy of high school diploma or GED transcript, official certificate of tribal enrollment, official transcript from previously attended institution; pass the placement testing; and complete an application for federal Student Aid.

Accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, NICC offers Associate of Applied Science in Carpentry; Associate of Arts in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, General Liberal Arts, Human Services and, Native American Studies; Associate of Science in General Science Studies; and Certificate in Carpentry.

With a low student to faculty ratio, the students are given the attention they deserve. At NICC, students can imbibe a unique cultural and educational experience that leads to achieving their academic and career goals.

This college hosts variety of fun activities and events for the students. They are encouraged to participate in Nebraska Indian Community College Student Senate, NICC Intramural and Community Events and American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC).
