The carpentry program at Dona Ana Community College prepares students for careers working as carpenters for manufacturing firms, government agencies, retail establishments, and other industries. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to lay out, cut, fabricate, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures, using hand and power tools. Program courses include: technical mathematics, framing, construction materials and selection, job estimating, blueprint reading, foundations and roughing-in, finishing carpentry techniques, and codes and standards. Dona Ana Community College

Dona Ana Community College is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is a large college with a student base from 5,000 to 10,000. DACC established in 1973.
