North Lake College, located in Irving, Texas, was founded in 1977 as part of the Dallas County Community College District. The college is a public 2 year institution, utilizing an open enrollment policy and offering a variety of programs to residents of Irving. The school maintains partnerships with students, community, business, and public schools.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Individuals interested in enrolling at North Lake College must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent. Individuals not meeting those criteria will be considered on a case by case basis. Applications for admission can be submitted at the campus or online.
Financial aid is available at North Lake College in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, and work study. Individuals interested in receiving financial aid must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Eligibility will be determined once the FAFSA is received by the Dallas County Community College District; the student is enrolled in a DCCCD school, and has submitted any additional documents requested by the financial aid office. Once completed, eligibility and awards will be determined and disbursed.
Athletics
The North Lake College Blazers participate in the Metro Athletic Conference of the NCJAA Division III. The school's athletic offerings include men's basketball and baseball, and women's volleyball and baseball.
On March 18, 2006 the men's basketball team won the 2006 National Junior College Athletic Association's Division III Championship, defeating the Gloucester County College (Sewell, New Jersey).
